The grade II listed Reston Hall offers 21st century comforts that blend well with the original 18th century character and ambience.
Reston Hall was built for Robert Bateman – originally a poor boy from the parish for whom the congregation raised a small amount of money to enable him to walk to London, where he found employment with a wealthy merchant and managed to work his way up to partner in the firm. For many years he worked in Livorno in Northern Italy as a merchant amassing considerable wealth.
In 1743 when Robert Bateman was 64 he arranged for Reston Hall and the and Ings Parish Church to be built. Sadly he never made it back to live in the house that he had commissioned.
Once entering through the central fifteen- panelled door into the dining hall you will begin to appreciate the attention to detail that was undertaken in the creation of this beautiful property. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the stunning sweeping staircase through the ornate Doric archway with two huge windows looking out into the wooded garden.
The guest accommodation is totally self contained, it is laid out over two floors joined by the grand staircase. There are two double bedrooms, one ensuite, a luxurious bathroom, two reception rooms and a modern kitchen.
